When more than lakh migrant workers came back to Bihar's West Champaran during the first Covid-19 lockdown, the district administration began an exercise to hunt for skilled workers in quarantine centers. They found skilled workers from Surat, Ludhiyana, Delhi, Mumbai and other parts of India. Thus, Bihar’s first 'start-up zone' for migrant workers was established. And in less than a year, the start-ups sold products worth more than Rs 7 crore.
